All funds raised by the Bindaring Sale support Red Cross Services to improve the lives of vulnerable people and strengthen communities here in Australia.
To date, the Sale has raised in excess of $2million. We are the biggest one day event fundraiser for Australian Red Cross.
Clothes left over at the end of the Sale are sold through Red Cross Shops across the State earning substantial additional funds not included in this total, for Red Cross services.
Some of the Red Cross Services that support our local communities include:
Post disaster community support
Lady Lawley Cottage in Cottesloe – which offers support to families who have children with multiple disabilities or chronic medical disorders
Telecross 24 – daily telephone calls to isolated elderly
Good Start Breakfast Clubs - Healthy breakfasts for vulnerable children
Save-A-Mate – Drug awareness and prevention program
Techcross – teaching basic computer skills to elderly
Soup Patrol - annually serves 38,000 free meals of soup and bread to people who are homeless, on very low incomes or who are socially marginalised
Support for the homeless
