Top Tips for the Bindaring Sale
#1 Bring a friend!
Or your Mum, daughter, brother, sister, son … it’s more fun together and you can cover the rails more quickly. Plus you can get an honest opinion before you buy!
#2 Plan your day
There are three shops at Bindaring, each offering something different. Items must be paid for before leaving each shop, so you need to decide which shop to visit first! To help you make up your mind we have a description of each shop on our website and photos from past years. Find out everything you need to know about the Sale here: How Does the Sale Work?
#3 Get the inside scoop
Follow @bindaring on Instagram for sneak peaks or @bindaringsale on Facebook.
#4 EFTPOS and $2
We have EFTPOS machines and accept Visa, Mastercard and debit cards. Minimum purchase $10. No Diners, Amex or cash out. There is an ATM available in the Robinson Pavilion if you would prefer to pay with cash. Entry to Boutique is a $2 donation. Entry to all other shops is free.
#5 Read the Bag Policy before the day: Bag Check and Bag Holding Bay policy
#6 Wear easy clothes for changing
And slip on shoes. The changing rooms get busy at times, so you want to be quick! Extra layers like coats and jackets are easily misplaced, so consider checking these into the Bag Holding Bay beforehand.
#7 Bag your bargains
Bring your own empty shopping bags to take your bargains home. There are restrictions on the bags you can take into each shop (read our Bag Check and Bag Holding Bay policy here), but when you are done shopping and heading home there are some clever ways to do it!
#8 Play nice!
You've gotta dig for your jewels, but please no snatching or pushing. We’re all supporting a good cause. Bindaring is completely volunteer run, and all of the staff are VOLUNTEERS. Be nice to them too – they deserve it!
#9 Bring something home for the family
Make a note of their trouser, shirt and shoe sizes and bring it with you – they never answer the phone when you need to check!
#10 Get there early
All shops open at 9.00am but the doors open to the Robinson Pavilion at 7.00am to allow queuing inside. First in best dressed! Having said that, there are thousands of items on sale and you can still find incredible pieces at lunchtime. By the way, you don’t need to have breakfast before you come – buy a fresh hot snack or wrap and barista coffee when you get here! Trains are stopping at the Showground Station from 8.15am, and buses also stop nearby. Getting to the Bindaring Sale
